Looking for a CL Throttle Body

    Hi there,
Does anyone know where I could get a new throttle body for a Mk3 CL 1.8 litre manual? The step motor on mine is playing up (or at least I'm pretty sure it's the step motor) so am looking at fitting a 2nd hand throttle body. Unfortunately after ringing around 20 places I am yet to find one. One guy claimed to have one, but when it arrived while it looked physically the same the electrical plug on the step motor was 4 pin instead of 6 pin, so oh well.

if anyone is parting out a 1.8L CL I would really appreciate it if you would get in touch.

    thanks.

I've managed to get one from a chap in Newcastle, but I'm not far off the "stuff it, get the lot" approach.

Throw me a PM, will probably work out cheaper in the long run, I just don't have the space for the old girl. Could even do a deal where I keep a few things to gift to my cousin's Variant and let you take the rest cheap (and you can scrap what you don't want). I could keep manual windows and a few bits and pieces. Really just don't want to crush a VW if it can keep a few others on the road, and I have zero room to chop it.

How much is he asking for the throttle body posted? You'd be surprised how close it'll be to an entire spare car :-P

$150 posted. The wrecker that managed to send me the wrong throttle body charged $200 for same, so I figure the price is about right.

If you have space for a donor, that's close to what I'd want for it.
