Rotas for show genuine for go, why not sus suspension first it'll make the car nicer to drive, and if you go coilovers you can keep it as high as you like until you sus wheels. Wheels at stock height look a bit awkward

Yeah fair enough, well they would be alright for a daily wouldnt they? Im not going to be doing my track driving or any full serious mods (although a VR swap would be amazing aha) I understand they will look odd until i lower it, but just dads not too keen on the idea he thinks it will attract some attention from the wrong sort of people, and that i dont need that on my L's and seeing as he paid for it i dont have much say till im on my full license or P's. Yet coilovers are expensive arent they? but when i got the golf serviced at elite euro the garage said that it may need some new shocks soon, so i was thinking about a set of lowering springs on some H&R gas shocks for about $600-700 from ECS Tuning? Any recommendations? Would 16's really look that odd with out lowering anyways? i know 17's not as much but does it still look like a 4x4 on 16's?

If you have a side photo of the car and a wheel in mind I can have a go at photoshopping it up

Suspension before wheels! In my opinion lowered on stock looks better than stock on aftermarket wheels which can look awkward like Mk3 AAA said. Especially if your gonna need suspension soon anyway. Like HaydEn said you can get coilovers a lot cheaper than those springs. Don't quote me but you can pick up coilovers for less than $500 on eBay.

BM Auto Sport - Alloy Wheel Specialists but I have no idea if they can help for your particular car. email and ask, and if they cant help, ask for their recommendation.
How much was shipping? They have some nice cheap (what I assume are reps) BBS RS style 15's that would go nicely on my mk2 for only 400 pounds.

i paid 300 pounds for shipping, but theye were 18x9.5 so should cost you a bit less.

also his advertised price includes VAT, so you can knock 10% of his list prce.

you have to pay him via paypal, so there is a slight charge for you to do that.

he willgive you all the detaisl.

and you will stay under the local duty/GST threshold

You need to upload your pics onto a photo sharing site like photobucket and then you can post them by copying the img URL and inserting it when you open up the reply to thread tab.
