Hi guys.

Im driving around in a AUTO 12v 2.8 VR6 a the moment. I have future plans to make it a manual if i ever get around to it lol.

I also have a complete MK3 MANUAL GL GOLF collecting dust.

I don't have the best of knowledge regarding parts or cars at all and i was hoping you guys could help me out

The place im geting the RWC want 1700 bucks for parts and labour LOL I am hoping to get the cost down as close to zero if possible.

So in order to pass my RWC in VIC I need the following things done fixed.

LHR ENGINE MOUNT
REAR STRUTS AND SPRINGS
RH STEERING RACK END
RHR WHEEL BEARING ASSEMBLY

So these are my 4 questions to everyone.

1/ Will this engine mount be correct for my car?

2/ Has anyone replaced the rear mounts by undoing the bolts and jacking up the gearbox?

3/ In Regards to the RH steering rack end will I be able to grab this off the other car and install it? I assume that the steering rack ENDS in the GL is exactly the same in the VR6

4/ And of course, can the REAR wheel bearing assembly come off the GL golf, since they are interchangeable?

1/ Will this engine mount be correct for my car? I may have the mount you are after on the shelf if youre interested both in standard and performance variants starting from $30

3/ In Regards to the RH steering rack end will I be able to grab this off the other car and install it? I assume that the steering rack in the GL is exactly the same in the VR6 Rack is the same(Edit)Tie rods are different due to wide track suspension. Tie rod ends are the same.

4/ And of course, can the REAR wheel bearing assembly come off the GL golf, since they are interchangeable? Yes but the bearings are quite cheap so you might as well buy brand new.
