That looks pretty cool, don't know that I would ever use one myself, but very cool none the less.

Hey Ray, don't know if you remember but Heather (soccergk) from mk3love was thinking about making something like this there was a thread there somewhere. I have also thought about making something like this so I can take my plates off whenever I want so to speak

that'll come in handy when you're stealing petrol from the petrol station.

It would be cool if you could put in on an actuator, and have a number there like normal and then some dummy numbder plates you can pop up bond styles!

Haha sorry, I originally posted this as a solution to not drill your bumper and also an easy way to hide your plate during shows! Our bumpers look really good without our stupid little number plates on them!

Oh I love these sorts of gadgets! They look great, I'd get one for sure, but pricewise... Would these stay up when driving along like a bumpy road? Doesn't look like it

I'm interested in what you have to cut out to make space for it, supposedly nothing, be very interesting to see thw installation instructions and some more photos.

Mind you, I suppose the reality is that the OEM bumber has a place to put a plate, without smoothing it all out anyway, the plate holder thing is a little useless.
