Excellent for $1k, I think the record is $200, haha.
You won't miss the heater, at least not now.
left money and keys for my dad to take it for a wheel alignment and tyre balance, no rwc when purchased but there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it, apart from the heater
but did I do good for one thousand bucks ??

good buy... is there a lot wrong with it? i saw it on ebay.
1996 VR6 Golf
it must have hit a curb, cracked rim and some tire wear and the front left steering arm is bent(not badly bent though), me and my old man are going to take a better look at it tomorrow, day off school , but i'm grabbing some wheels next week hopefully and wrapping them in some new rubber, but other than that, the car is in decent condition.
i'm a happy chap.
Coming along nice, good starting material. Time to start the cosmetic mods.
so jealous urgh, much excitement! have fun
thanks guys, i feel so happy i'm officially a VR6 owner!!
but previous owner must have hit a curb as i mentioned before and as a result one wheel has a dent and a crack, so i'll be hopefully picking up a set of 17s next week, and wrapping them in some new rubber.
From there i'll have to get a rwc and get rego, as i'm still a learner it doesn't really concern me that it could be off the road for just abit as i mainly take public transport anyhow... but after i get rego, Let the mods begin!! unless.. ofcourse i can't help myself and i just go on a shopping spreee!!
the rear drivers window wouldn't stay up all the way , after inspection they had jammed a piece of sunglasses into it to hold it up lol
the power windows wouldn't work , but you could hear the motor working, so me and the old man opened it up and it was all mangled, decided to check the other golf to see if those were mangled too, the parts golf rear power windows don't work though , but we just swapped over the motor to the other mechanism and chucked it in and bobs your uncle.
took the spare sound deadening foam from the spare golf
also didn't like the look of the dusty white rear spoiler, so I got the heat gun out and had a crack, here's half done. look at the difference

also got a quote for the heatercore, $1,100. Looks like im going diy
not really keen on the vr6 tails as everyone has them on their mk3s , so decided to diy hella reds.
masked my Amber reds from the Gl
and after a few nice light coats of VHT nite-shades red, we went from this..
to this >>
I also gave my front Amber indicators a bit of red and the fake fogs a tint, the lighting isn't the best but they're not fullllll black, but they are still abit too dark for how I wanted them
and also the side indicators
next cosmetic mod I think I might have a crack at is the joeys mod, just have to get some time to goto Bunnings or something and grab some high heat matt paint I guess .
