Not a fan of that tiny however.
Just as a question. Where are you measuring you 100mm from because, alot of the mk3 is hanging down.
Soooo glad this thread came about.
Never been a fan of stance or impractically low cars, but I'm tolerant of people's tastes.
Waterboy posted this in the picture thread. Not sure if more than 100mm off the ground.
I believe the wheel is 15x7.5 with 205 50 15 tyres.
I love this look, needs less rake and more wheel to arch gap for me.
That square tyre wall really helps pull off smaller wheels, who needs 17s
Mine's at 110mm back on the mk3 steelies and i've still got some wheel/arch gap.
I painted my lip white to give the illusion of a lower car too, black lips can meld into the shadow of the car sometimes. but I might go back to a black lip though.

Tint* had a few today.
I measure from the sills right at the fender/front door area.
Lip can hang lower dependent on style, as can sump, dependent on engine (and bash plate etc).
Subframs is pretty much the same height as the sills (except cabby)
I know stock vr6, the sump is probably a decent inch lower than the sill. And the exhaust stock is roughly the same. Luck most police don't like getting there light blue shirts dirty.
I've never really found the exhausts to be that much lower, unless you've got a bigger aftermarket system on there i guess
100mm
Sent from my pen and paper last year
Dear lord Alex, what have you started, the post-stance era!? The Stanceocolipse?
I agree 17"s can look too big. Sometimes they look spot on, if they're subtle like your regas looked freaking good don't deny, and you know my theory about the Vento's arse looking too big without wheels that fill the guards up a bit, dumped ones with 15s look like a commodore boot glued onto an old golf to me, all out of whack. BUT 17s do dominate the car a bit much, and everything ends up a bit hotwheels looking (I like the fat fives...but they can look a bit tacky if you cop them on the wrong angle in the wrong mood), that colourconcept looks great, I really like that sort of sporty/racing look, cars scarping gut look cool in car parks, but don't look nimble.
Frankly in the long run I'll probably go 16" BBS stock VR6 looking wheels in conservative specs and just get the car tidy. It's a bit anti-scene, but that's sort of why I got a VW in the first place instead of cheapy WRX (so tempting in weak moments, luckily I'm a student still).
All pretty boring and grown up. Maybe hold on to your stancing youth as long as you can.
