I do want to have a car with some cornering capabilities and the whole mostly legal thing going on. I think i will get some 16 x 8, run some race rubber on the cabby and run it on coils at 100mm when I get my new project under way!

This is exactly the loook I want to achieve....

trying to look for pics of "balloon" tyres on mk3's without a lot of luck as yet.... thinking some 195/55's for the 16x9's atm.....

+1. Had this goal from the very start of owning a car. Handle/corner well, reap whatever aesthetic comes with function.

love the look of the stock bbs's, whats the tyre profile on the vr in the spotlight pic?? they look bigger then usual but I dig it..... believe it or not but i've found some bbs wheels exactly the same as the vr except 4x100, crazy huh?? never seen them before....?

have seen a lot of those, just not in AUS... wonder what they came on?
a mk1 cab I looked at buying some time back had something similar by BBS, but dont think it was the VR style ones you have pictures

VR flares help heaps in pulling off the early 90s factory super saloon look. Gives that sort of group B flavour. The silver Mk3 rocking the Vento front pulls it off really well.

oh really? ok then, maybe not so hard to come by then, would also like to know where they're from though.....


On another note, going to a tyre shop tomorrow to try on some meatier rubber ..... we'll see what I can come up with.... I have some unheard of sizes going around in my head so it'll be interesting Rebelling against the stance movement! sorta...haha
