Hehehe 2.0L MkIII's are pretty sluggish too.

I'm not too sure what you give you noticeable power.... mainly intake and exhaust, just remove all restrictions and see how you go.

Its still a 2L, should be able to sneak it through without engineering

Thanks alot guys for your replys...Now I regret not getting a civic, although I drive germans only...but thats a lazy duck, screw all SOHC engines...

bboyskidz, not sure if u have to get any certificates, but if it is that hard, you can get the ABF engine and remove all the good stuff and install it in ur engine, like the cams, head, etc....but I think the rest of the engine will be the same...propably I will get it from germany, very cheap and you can find any thing for any german car there....

its not just whack it on and off you go. brian at gti imports in sydney can get you any parts you need for workshop prices but after a 2 minute chat to him you will realise how futile of an idea it is. 96531114 or 0429208713 if you're interested.

I've heard of Americans putting a Mk4 16V head on to their 8V ABA engines. Don't know the work involved, but I'm sure it's not just bolt on?

You need to change the pistons for any of this crazy talk which means an engine rebuild.

Easier to put an existing engine in and then engineer it if necessary IMO.
Its about $600-$800 to engineer a car.
