Finally got some stuff on this. Decided to take the whole front end off to get too the a/c compressor that died on me. Never knew how easy removing the front end was and that was off in about 5 minutes. First thing to go wrong was i found I had a broken belt tensioner, part of it was snapped off so I couldn't remove the tension on the belt, that was fun too get off.

New A/c compressor in thanks to Hayden for giving me his spare as well as allowing me to cannibalise his 12v for a working tensioner. He how has an atleast 40% stake in this car lol. Got all the new schrick stuff in which was easy enough. Started car to the worst noise I have ever heard, the schrick flapper was rattling itself to pieces. It seems like it needs a bushing on the shaft of the flapper which I didn't have. 5 minutes and a 12v valve stem seal cut down and all rattles were gone, the valve stem seal happened to fit perfectly.

Next up was putting it all back together. Got the front end on started it up and found out I had no gauges. After quick investigation I hadn't grounded the two connectors on the throttle body loom which somehow if not grounded completely turn off your cluster which is a nice feature.

All that's left is finish wiring the RPM switch and route the vacuum lines and solenoid for the schrick and we should be in business.

Finally got to drive it, first go had a manic missfire. Manifold off for the 4th time and found an ignition lead loose. Pushed that back on and away i went. Holey ****, so much power between 3 and 4000 rpm. Feels like your at 6000. Haven't got the flapper working yet so its stuck in torque mode but should have the rpm switch done by the end of the week.

    Looks awesome!

So the manifold has to come off to get to the leads and plugs? That's a pain but I guess a fair trade off for the power increase you described

Hayden seems to know a bit and the Schrick was a good score. Pays to live near each other I bet.

    You still skating?
