Story goes I ordered half the fittings for the struts wrong, confusion on my part after the previous owner had used reducers on the front. Oh well, 1/4ptc to 1/8 npt fittings on they way and should be here tomorrow!

Yewww. Both rear struts threads are so bad i couldn't even get tension on the strut bushings so now have a situation that the struts can fall out ,lol.

Can't you just use a die and re thread the strut?

Going to try on the weekend. Doubt it will work due to it not being cross threaded but more like the peaks of the treads have just been ruined. Let's pray.

I had to do this on my mx5 recently. Same issue as you and it worked. Guess it depends how mongulated the thread is.
