    I've been converted!!!!!!

    Hi all,

As the title states "I have been converted"

Having driven VL turbo's all my life i finally jumped into a VR6 and can i tell you 2 days later i am now the proud owner of a 1995 white VR6!

Its as stock standard as you can get and in need of a fresh coat of paint.

So fella's what can i do to this old girl?

    Where should i start?

Welcome to the forum mate Sorry to answer your questions with questions, but where are you located? How many K's has the VR6 done?

Many Mk3 owners modify their airbox first - less restriction for the intake, easy to do, and sounds great too.

    Oh, and pictures please

    Welcome to the forum mate,

As a proud owner of a white 95 vr6 myself I can tell you that there are alot of mods that you can do first.

There are a few things that aren't that expensive that you could do first, like Ray said Intake modification, Exhaust (cat back) there is a middle suitcase to take out it is restrictive and ways about 30 kilos no good

Also get yourself some coilovers, there are plenty out there KW, Bilstein, Koni just to name a few.

Good luck and also same as Ray where are you from? And Pics???

Im located in Melbourne and picked the car up with around 200k on the clock.

Yeah the first couple of things i wanted to do where the air intake and the exhaust. What would they set me back $$ wise?

Pls excuse my ignorance but what are coilovers?

I will have pic's up as soon as the paint dries!

Your looking at about 600 for exhaust and a air intake maybe 150 bucks if you get yourself a pipe or 50 bucks for something like one of the threads that Golfer did under air Intake.

Coilovers are suspension and shock absorber in one highly effective, its sports suspension.

I'm sure one of our other members can give you a better definition of it.
