idling rough/cutting out

Hey guys when I start my car up it tends to idle rough, and a tad lower than usual.
Then, when I step on the accelerator it bogs down. It's not until I completely redline it till it runs normally.

It's no trouble when driving, just annoying to start sometimes.
It's worse on cold mornings too.

Id look for a vac leak first.

Sounds like you need to do some trial an error. Considering its more or less on cold mornings start with the cheapest thing and replace the spark plugs, then go from there. coil packs, check and tighten all intake hose work. Given it is an older car now you may be due to renew a bunch of ignition parts.

No coilpacks, just one coil and that would just quit straight up.

Definitely look for dodgy vacuum lines first.

Sounds like you may have the problem I had. I had a hole in my idle valve
I replaced it with some other tube that was similar (just had to cut length off) from Repco and it's as good as new now. Been meaning to put it up on my thread, I probably will when I get home so keep an eye out ! Hopefully it'll help!

Would it be worth getting the car looked at by a mechanic first before persuing any work?
Just to save money, thats all im thinking of haha
