Electrics, A/C & heater are worst bits I think.
Hi guys I picked up a second car to keep the Km down on my GTI.
Its a 1996 GL Classic Golf. It is totally gutless (well comming from a GTI driver) and auto, but should be able to clock up 120km a day on the freeway quite nicely.
It's done 57,000Km and serviced regularly, is there anything I should be looking out for? I see there is a bit of dodgy-ness with the windows but I haven't seen much else to write home about.
Any gremlins waiting to meet me when I pick it up on Tuesday?

1996 Golf VR6 Colour Concept Green
Well thats alright then. I don't really use AC all that much (being a Queenslander in Victoria)... the heater scares me a bit...
I just don't like the idea of swapping out gearboxes and that sorta stuff.
I wouldn't call it a beater with only 57k's on it, hmm it is an auto tho Just keep your eye on the tranny, massively expensive to replace. If it does shat itself I highly recommend a manual conversion, Loon can look after that for you should it happen
2008 VRS Wagon. Yellow, very yellow!
Forever blowing bubbles.
Well the cars main purpose is to stop the Pogo getting too many km's up. I'll keep an eye on the transmission and the motor really lends itself to a manual.
Well when it does crap itself it'll swap it out to a manual.
Nice buy, esp the low k's. I think the trick with the heater is to add some stop-leak stuff in it coz if it just develops a pin hole leak, u have to replace it. Grab the full liquid stuff rather than the products with beads or solids in them as they make ur coolant look like poo
