    Hydraulic Lifters or Solid Lifters

I've never really delved into internal engine mods but I love my 1.8 and I want to get the most out of it, I'll be doing the whole cold air intake thing soon and later this year probably some headers to go with my 2.5" exhaust.

Lately I've been looking at cam gears, shafts, lifters, etc on this site VW Performance - Autotech Sport Tuning
My question is: Does my 1.8 have hydraulic lifters?
'95 Golf 3dr... low. slow. loud.

Hydraulic, solid lifters went out in about 1983 in petrol VWs
