Yeah, it seems that VR6's have a lot of problems, that's what is putting me off (for the moment =P). How costly/annoying is it to constantly get new regulators for the windows of the GL?

not sure what the going rate is right now but somewhere between 100 and 150 a peice.

if you're that worried about window regs just get manual mechanisms out of a wrecked CL lol. the CL's really are gutless just warning you...

Minor... you can get them on ebay for $80 a piece posted... or more like 120+ locally.

Yeah, I'm definately going to get a GL or a VR6, and don't worry brendan_lfc...i'll be getting a VR6 later on =P

It just depends on what needs to be changed for the VR6, how much it's going to cost and whether they are things that need to be constantly changed or if they only need to be changed once.

In the end it will depend on if I can find a good VR6 that is in good condition

Whats your budget? It would have to be around 11k for a VR6 including repairs and anything else even if its in good nick.

You could get away with a GL for 8k or a CL for 7k both in good nick.

Dude my VR has only cost me....approx 7,400 to date
the rest has been system, tinting, HID's, exhaust (just) and other things along the way because I spoil myself!


I'd have been too scared to buy a VR if it was going to make me need 11k!

I'll have a budget of about $8000-$9000. It will still be a couple of months or so until I get the car, I still need to get a new engine for my 'rolla and then sell that.
