    Just ticked over to 250k...I've had mine since 132k. I change oil.

    Don't forget people in the US are SC and turbo'ing there VR's with 200k miles on the clock without problems whats that telling you!
    I'm soo euro even my missus is shaved...

    Classic answer......I love it!

    As for the OP, get it serviced regularly and keep driving. The best indication of needing a rebuild would be excessive oil consumption so just keep a tab on how much it uses.

    my mk2 is sitting at 330 000 and it still goes hard... when it starts. i reckon bearings and bushings are the things to worry about at high mileage so long as the engine has been taken care of...

    The wife's Vento has over 340,000k's on it. We bought it with around 95,000k's on the clock (which we have had to replace recently). The has engine lasted longer than the clock's. LOL. It still runs like a charm. I bought a spare engine about 2 years ago just in case. It's sitting in the garage and I think it will be there for a long while yet.

    1996 CL 325,000 no engine or trans issues. I have owned it from new and never 'babied' it.
