magnecor are a good brand. I have some with no probs. But what carl refers to is daves car which was doing exactly the same thing. But yeah it could be leads or coilpack or something electrical like that.

Where abouts are you located TVB?

    I'm located in Rozelle, NSW.

I haven't solved the problem yet and it seems to have got worse. It never happens in the first 10 mins of a drive (don't worry, I don't boot it till things have warmed up a bit). I do get a bit of choking just after start up, when i change to second gear. I'm thinking it's not the fuel filter but maybe the coil pack or throttle body as Golf Loon suggested.

tassie_euro_mk1 - what's your next move after the 'no fireworks'?
    Cheers,

tvr i dont know what my next move is yet...

I might check the fuel pressure and the throttle body. although it does seem to be more of a "sharper" jerking. which i think would be an electrical problem rather than fuel.

    but unsure

Ive had a few good drives where it has run just beautifully.

TVB as you're in Rozelle, you're not far from my mechanic who has just helped one of my VR6 mates with a new coilpack and leads. He also had the same problem to you and I, and although I thought my mate's problem might only be leads+sparks, he took it to my mechanic and found the problem and got it sorted.

mollins do you mean Air Flow Meter? if so yea VR6's do have airflow meters. Mine was knacked and was giving a bad A/F reading but i got a new one and has fixed that problem. But a new problem now lol. This problem has similar effects like AFM but in my case, cant be it. Surely...

TVB, have you checked your Air Flow Meter???
