    nah its not the battery or alternator its turn over strong but just doesnt catch will try cleaning though!

    hey steve,
    when changing the fuel filter do i have to depressurize it or something if so wats the best way??

    nah just go ahead and take the lines off, but WEAR SAFETY GLASSES.
    fuel will spray everywhere for a second but itll go away dont worry
    if you leave the ignition alone for a little while the pressure should bleed off slowly anyway. and by a little while i mean like....5 or 10 minutes and it should be mostly gone, or atleast significantly reduced. but i wouldnt wait, just wear those safety goggles and go for it, thats all ive ever done

    pull out the fuel pump fuse, then run the car until it splutters and stops.

    Don't you just yank the old filter off and put the new one on and turn the key so fuel goes through it (it takes a few goes) ??? That's what I did, lol.

    your ment to open the fuel filler cap, well that wat they taught me at tafe =p to get the pressure out of the system or its just gonna keep pooring out and you'll loose fuel. if u do this you will just loose abit

    Meh I caught my fuel in a bucket and poured it back in when I was done hahaha.

    No fuel was caught from my old filter though!

    dude first thing i would be checking from what you have said is your fuel pressure regulator as its probably weak or f**ked and as soon as you turn the car off and the fuel pump stops the fuel runs straight back to the tank from the rail then obviously it takes time to pump it back up from the tank to rail resulting in taking a few cranks to start but fine when running.
    my vr is exactly the same as we speak and i already have my new shiny aftermarket regulator to go on

    give it a shot man. id put money on it. . . .
