    Head lining

Just had the windscreen replaced in my car and now as a result of typical crappy workmanship have the headlining coming away from the sponge type material. Can anyone recommend a good adhesive that will permanently fix the two together that will not dissolve the sponge material?

Selleys Quikgrip is usually pretty non reactive with most things, sticks pretty good too. I've used it on all types of textile materials and felts etc with no hassles.

Definately not the cheap spray adhesives from bunnings. The 3M products are good but are exxy at like $25 a spray can and thats what the guys in US use to reupolster their headliner. I decided to rip out my newly done headliner as it was a dodgey job i did and it decided to sag as it was too hot so use the good stuff i say!!

My car's previous owner was an avid smoker, took me months of cleaning to get the gunk out of the seats and carpets, couldn't get it out of the headliner though. Did someone say there were people that did that type of work?

    Warning

Just a word of warning, I used tarzan brand general purpose glue which I thought would be quite tame considering its drying time. Not good! Started to eat the foam in the headlining. I even dropped one blob on my seat adjuster handle and it started eating that too.
Would advise using a spray adhesive to get a thin even coating.
Now to go and give my headlining some botox treatment to fill in the small dips........
