I didn't find it too difficult. only those melt clip things for the connectors were a b1tach.

I guess my biggest problem was that a few of the bolts were partially fused. There was a lot WD40 and torque-bent hexkeys involved. One bolt got threaded but I managed to get it out (and destroy it) with multi-grips. Its also a very tight area to get into with my big paws.

I have a 1994 VR6... I've changed the thermostat, crack pipe, the 3 front sensors and water pump. My car has 215000kms on it now.
Not a pleasant engine to work on but have you ever worked on a Japanese car?
The is no comparison. I like that you can remove the exhaust manifold on our cars without breaking any studs... Try that on a similar vintage Honda, Nissan or Mazda.
Much harder on a VR6 than a GL Pedro.
Its not so hard if the front is off, but if the car is intact, wow, what a mongrel of a job.

Respect Loon. I thought from a few posts that maybe I was just crap, but Im pretty proud that I managed to do it. I wasnt even able to take the coilpack out which made access even harder.
