L90E - Alpine White
BLUE LAGOON LA5W
As most of you already my Golf has a heap of dents ,scratches, hail damage, paint fade,Gloss peel you name it.
And I think its time to respray Right after I roll my Guards.I was just wondering if i should go for a brand new colour which would involve stripping the whole car or Go for the same colour
If I had to go for the same colour , i dont really know what the paint code is ive looked in the boot , books , the net and they all look alike but I think Its a LN5Y/J8 which comes up as Windsor Blue. I know that its a Pearl since its a blue in the dark and purple when theres light LIKE WTF very trippy.
especially when i first bought it.it was a cloudy day and it was blue.next day it was sunny went outside the thing was purple HEY THATS NOT MY CAR ! ANYWAYS :$
I DO want to get the car finished by next year feb meet 6 days after i get my license back lol so ive got heaps of time.
Most preferably I want it to be a VW colour nothing custom.

I think same colour or very close to is the way to go.
A full colour change requires door jams, boot and under bonnet to be 100%.
Where as if you go you colour with a little bit of tinting/pearl it can be pulled of very easily.
When I did my respray I tinted teh standard colour with some purple to make the paint really pop.
Do porcelain blue. That colour is dope
Windosr Blue is one of my favourite car colours, ever. Initially when I owned mine I hated it becuase of the slight purple tint in the sun (made worse when the car is dirty) but it grew on me so much when I gave it a proper detail, it seemed to become much less purple and one of the nicest colours I've ever seen. I'm actually contemplating respraying my new car that colour now haha.
So yeah, my vote goes to LN5Y - Windsor blue, especially if it already is that colour as has already been said, it will be a much easier/cheaper respray.
As im a whore and miss the old beast, photos of windsor blue post detail
Like some are saying keep it the same colour, just give it a fresh over coat spend your time getting all the dents scratchs so on out.
Or if you have the time go a full colour change,Have you got a free garage space?
strip the hole car down doors off bonnett, boot,Glass,,,you get the drill.
It took me 5 weeks ? After work during weekends this was very casual, and around $1400 to do it myself.
