Yes it's safe to do so ! Although u might want change your piston rings if your engines around 250kms or higher.
Stock computers take up to 8 or 9psi (carnt remember right now) so doing 7psi would be playin it alittle safer. The guy with the supercharged vr6 ran the stock comp. with i think it was 8psi, it gave up after about a month or 2.
Power's around 240hp. 7psi is pretty gay, reason ? Well I'm pretty sure just about all other turbo cars your gonna attract will beat you and then your gonna get annoyed and go all out
Contact C2 Motorsports an see what they can do for u with a stock computer. obd1 is abit hard to work with.
Pm Malteser on the forums an see if he changed his injectors an pump, carnt remember if u need to.

okay that sounds alright power for our roads but my bottom ends about to hit 250xxx , so i recon it would be better to change to forged internals which would cost a fare bit more but would be safer at high boosts/power.but then is it worth turboing a vr6 for Melbourne roads. 1-2 and your a speed limit (100km/h). so im not really sure if i should go for a turbo or just get 268/ 11.4 mm lift schrick cams with HD springs and a Giac.

    Bloody iPhone !!
Forged is only needed if going over 300, 350hp. Depends on how hard u thrash it.
The weak points are conrod bolts and conrods them selfs. Piston heads either crack or melt due to repeative high end revin in stinkin hot weather. Go over 400, 500hp an they break differently.
ARP HARDWARE ARE ESSENTIAL WHEN GOIN FI.
Wether it's NA or FI 2nd gear will always get u to 100-110km/h, it's just the way u get there that's different
I reckon a stage 1 or stage 2 kit would be good if your sayin the roads/speed limits are crap down there.
The cams an giac idea WOULD BE A REALLY NICE DAILY !!
    Good luck choosing.

yea just wanted to go different this time , but need lots of bodywork and paint work
Um you dont know how happy I am since i got my 1st gear back ( no crunching or grinding anymore hehehe)
engine wise Im still waiting for my cams and chip im abit low on cash these days so I want to enjoy driving it for abit . ive been working on the car more then ive been driving so ye . also i dont know if i should get extractors with the cams because im hearing that you lose powerr on vr6's. but cam most likely going with a schrick 268" and a schrick manifold. i think its going to cost me another $2500AUD ishh which i dont have right now

What else do you recon i should do to make look better ( What do you think of kerscher carmona 16" on it )
