    Hakan's Golf Vr6

[B]From the day I bought her till Present UPDATED

    STOCK AS ROCK

    STOCK VR6 ENGINE

Two weeks Later Everything was going smooth until a very hot day and abit of thrashing from RED light to RED light , a big Steam of Coolant came out of the engine bay where I popped the heater core return hose and engine over heated .Got it home and This is what I found out >
Blown Head gasket turns out I bought it like that .

    COOLANT LEAKING INTO CYLINDERS

ANOTHER WEIRD THING WAS I VACUUMED THE COOLANT CHANNELS OUT AND ALMOST 2 kilos of RED PEPPER CAME OUT WHICH WAS USED TO TEMPORARYLY BLOCK ANY COOLANT LEAKS INTO OIL CHANNELS UNTIL THE CAR GOT SOLD.

Head gets machined nice and shiny

Around A Month later the parts that I ordered FINALY decided to come to my door from Germany and America so I started putting everything back together .

    COMPLETE !! WHOOHOO

After that it took me around 5 hours to fit it all back in and start the engine.

    vr6 msd ignition conversion

A few weeks ago my Coil pack decided to Blow up so I decided to Replace it with 3x8224 MSD's, Which was very easy to do.
Feel free to ask any questions .

    thanks ,
My reason was because it was cheaper than a brand new coil.i guess its more reliable after having 2 cracked coil packs before.its better on fuel economy my car was doing 6.8 ltrs/100km/h on the freeway by grannying it .and 8-10 normal driving i think.engines much more responsive but if you dont have any electrical experience many things can go wrong . ive heard people burning out there icm aswell as there ecu's but nothings gone wrong on mine yet and hope it doesnt . ohh and it looks good and stands out in the engine bay .

Did you go with a mk4 headgasket and upgrade anything while you where in there?

Looks nice. Reminds me of mine when I got it, sitting a foot off the ground

    Nice colour too
