And the return of the MK3..




I'm just think out loud here, I will list parts and prices. If you have any of these parts please let me know,
if my prices are wrong please let me know and if my plans are crap..let me know!

HID KIT $60 (my angle eyes offer less output than a blown out candle...)

Hottuning blue coilovers $400 plus mounts $200

Oil breather hose $150 (bought for $80 fitted in 30 seconds)

Headling, grab handles and visors $?? ( i have no idea how much this will be?)

Windscreen valance $50 (bought for $20) still to be fitted.

Leather gear lever boot, hand brake boot and steering wheel cover (stich on type) $75 ebay..

Rear hatch in white, I already colour matched my spolier last time I had the car, mine is the later shape with the 3rd brake light inside. $??

Repaint rear bar $100 (i got a hook up)

Front bar repaint $100 plus the cost of shaving it? can I use fiberglass to fill the gaps perhaps? where should I put the indicators? maybe I could fit them where the parkers are in my headlights (like a mk4)

Spacers will also be fitted, but prolly adaptors, I'm getting tired of my 17's. Would really like a set of Porsche 16's cost $$$$$$$$

Some new front seats to replace the VR ones I currently have, as long as they sit low (i'm 6 foot 3) they should be sweet.

A brake improvement? I have no idea what would be the best way to go here? 4x100 pattern..

Short lateral shift kit from Tim $150

I want the car to end up clean, but tough too. My son starts driving the car in less than a year so it's staying a 2.slow.

I'm toying with the idea of taking out the rear seats and fitting a half cage? Will this cost thousands? I don't want 5 teenage punks racing around in this car. So I figure if there's only two seats that will better all round, plus a MKIII with a cage would be cool..

theres a good diy on how to shave the front bumper sticked here in the mk3 section, so check that out for sure. Sounds like you have some good plans though The cage could look quite cool indeed, there are a heap of pictures with mk3's like that floating around the internet, but im sure you could find them in the same amount of time that i could.
