ordered some nuts from J's Racing out of Japan and man, these things took FOREVER to arrive :/ tested my patience for sure....

But alas, they arrived and i'm stoked! I can finally get onto my stud conversion..... (man the sharpness degraded, lol, but you get the idea)

    Quick update before work!

I figured out how to read wiring diagrams and completed my ignition and light switch replacement!
Although i'm not happy with the buttons i've chosen now and plus the ignition button heats up a lil so I need something a little more beefy. but pics anyways....

I didn't have enough buttons to complete the headlights so I've made the aircon and circulation switches the parkers and headlights for the moment :p haha

Also go the studs in and the nuts on! Nothing went wrong either! for once...... Cleaned up and thread locked in.... plus extra pics.... you can see the fender progress also!

You happy with the studs? Thats something id like to do for ease of changing wheels at the track.

And get Ben to mow the bloody lawn you Logan Bogan's

Love the worn out inner arch! Doing it right lol

I like the idea of a stud conversion. Advantages being spacers and easier to take wheels on and off but have been discourage by the fact that they'd foul adapters and probably centre caps that cover lugs. All good though if they aren't an issue!

Man I spent AGES searching for the "right ones".... I wanted long, bullet nose studs with a larger ring where the two threads meet so that the stud has something to tighten up against, if that makes sense? i'll take some pics of the studs to show what I mean.

Most studs I found didn't have that and they'd just rely on the locktight I suppose to keep them in place :/ That might be apparently ok but doesn't sound good to me....

haha, yeh man, need to rust guard it every now and then! haha

man studs are WAYYYY better, haha, loving it already even after the first time of putting the wheels back on.....

But I hear you with regards to adapters or center capped wheels though you can get short studs... I plan on only running these types of wheel and I like the look of the longer studs

Don't forget who built the vr in the first place... should be pretty close id say.

I have an engine crane somewhere.. When the engines all together and ready to go we could probably swap it in in a day
