    GAP exhausts

Anyone had any experience with these or a similar set up? GAP group buy, the second one would be good replacement exhaust for VR6 at that price...

    Shipping will be silly.

The VR6 benifits very little from most mods. A decent free flowing cat + resonator + muffler combo in your choice of mild or stainless steel sourced locally will work just as well as pretty much anything else.

Just head to the local place and see what they can do for you.

i was looking into a set up myself, but actually found it cheaper than getting a remus ect, im getting one built to the same standard as a remus, bolt on mufflers dont last that long.......

I've been looking at a magnaflow system. $450US plus about $200 shipping from the states. Another guy mentioned he got a 3" system for his mk1 custom made by a guy in hobart so i'm just waiting to find out about that before i make a decision.

I really really really REALLY want a mangaflow. I dont care about the cost. I want the noise. I used to have a straight thru exhaust on my dub and the sound at full tilt was simply ****ing amazing. Pitty the cops didnt think so

It also droned like a bastard on the freeway unless I kept it smack on 100kph. A few kph either way and DROOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNEEEEEEEE. The perfect anti-speeding device.

But anyway... just get something with really good flow. And dont bother about extractors, zero improvement on a vr6 engine.

Now for a good read, see this: http://www.newdimensions.com/00_glob...4-12/index.asp.

Haha, yes i've read that. Had an argument with Tim i think it was about whether the Jetix or the Magnaflow was better. Considering you can get the Magnaflow for US$450 now instead of US$550 that would give it an extra point in price and give it one extra point overall making it the winner
