    Fuse

Central locking, interior light, cig lighter all stopped working and clock resets to 12:00 every time ignition switched back on. Is it just a fuse that's gone?

i would say it's a battery fault. It looks like it has enough juice to turn the car over, but the rest of the stuff resets.

I used to suffer the reset thing once a week in my Ibiza. A new battery fixed it.

Sounds a bit different to me. Could be a couple of faults there IMO.
    Check the fuses first.

Turns out fuse 21 does all of those, even though it doesn't mention the central locking on the fuse box cover. Thanks for the pointers.

Mine acted like that with dirty battery terminals.

make sure they are done up nice and tight
