Front bumper removal

My daughter (has had licence 3 weeks) decided to remodel the front of her cabriolet on a Barina. We were lucky that the only damage was the headlight, indicator and bumper cover. There is also a minute amount of panel damage that is easily fixed.
Does anyone have instructions how to remove the bumper cover. I have a Chilton manual but it has nothing about the front bumper.
Where would be the best place to get the 3 parts mentioned. I live in the northern suburbs of Melbourne not far from Greensborough. I'm quite happy to get used parts as I'm quite sure this won't be the last little bump plus her excess is over $1000 and has only 3rd party insurance.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by bumper cover, but in order to get the front BUMPER off, there's 8 or 9 bolts, 4 rivets and the indicator plugs.

Start by taking the indicator plugs out of the indicators (ie, pop the dummy fogs off with a flathead screwdriver and then unplug the indicators). Next, take out the 2 rivets on each side of the bumper - these rivets hold the plastic inner wheel guard to the edge of the bumper, and can be accessed when turning the wheels left or right to gain inside wheel-arch access. Push the middle rod of the rivets out and then pull the rivets out to remove.

Next, undo the 8 or 9 bolts (10mm heads) that bolt the bumper on. They are located as follows: three or four on top, underneath the grille assembly; 5 bolts underneath the main strip of the bumper (the bit that has the number plate on it) - one where each lower air duct is, and three spaced out in the middle where the middle air duct is (the one with the 6 vertical strips).

Pull the bumper off, making sure that each side comes out of the plastic that it was aligned onto, and that's it.

Sorry it's a long winded post; it's really easy to do, it just takes a bit to explain it. Hope it helps!

what sort of damage does the bumper have? Usually if it has been a light impact the bumper will be fine after being left in the sun for a day or 2. Its the bumper reinforcement behind it that gets bent out of shape.

Also if you do need to replace your bumper. Which type are u after? One with textured plastic tops or one with colour coded tops? I think i have a textured one floating round in my garage somewhere.

By bumper cover, I mean the plastic bit, not the steel reinforcement. That's ok as far as I can tell so far without removing the cover. The cover is torn. She T-boned a Barina at very low speed and the side of it tore the plastic and did the rest of the damage. Those instructions are great. Thanks a lot.

That would be fantastic if you had a textured top one. Even better if it was the dark metallic green but I'm not fussed. I have a spray gun. PM me with your details if you do have it and we can talk turkey.

I've also noticed that the passenger side lower grille is missing as well. Any idea where the best place to get the parts would be?......anyone?

its a red/marone colour of a car i scrapped ages ago. Ill dig it out of the garage tomorrow and make sure the condition is good.

Fantastic. Let me know please. Even a few marks on the paint would be ok as it would have to be painted. We still have the black skirt on the bottom and 2 of the 3 plastic grilles across the bottom.
