I got BFI .5 poly mounts for christmas, aswell as control arm brace and smoked turns. This meant i could put my subframe together, now i just to find time to get started...
Worst thing is i now work two jobs because poor and both are in hodpitallity and have both gone full time becauxe of holidays so now i litterally just sleep and work but i also now have a tonne of money.
My camera ran out of battery so i thought i would do a little write up.
Sunday evening a week ago i decided it was time to finally start doing my engine swap. So i committed parked the car up and started pulling it apart.
While taking everything i naturally went to take the bonnet off only to find.
So much face palm, bloody lazy mechanics...
Unplugged everything, unbolted the subframe. Andddddddd
YAYAYAYA. I then got to cleaning the engine bay and unplugging old 1.8 harnass which we later discovered was the same as the 2.0
Before. (ps right side is already cleaned, i have no infocus photos of both sides dirty...)
After.
Literally a million times better.
So this car obviously has crashed in it's life time, the battery had split all over the bay and eaten through the paint and seeing it hadn't been attended to rusted...
Before.
After a good after 20p the 600p so it's pretty silky, then primed.
Finished.
From here i have not taken as many photos as i would have liked so yeah, i'll just tell you about what has happened...
Basically i have been playing around with wiring and what not. Changed looms over, plugged into ecu, changed pedal cluster to a manual cluster, changed steering column to an adjustable one, rewired all the plugs going into steering column due to all of the were dodgily spliced into and looked gross. Cut all plugs out of one of the wreck i have laying around then soldered and heatshrunk so it's and schmick. Also i got a new solder and it's nice and doesn't take three days to heat up.

Also put in a new brake booster, changed dash cluster and some other stuff that i can't think of...
I tried to take a cool photo of the smoke coming off the solder...
I'm still getting used to the operating system of my new camera.
Nice photo of complete inside, yet to put plastics on incase we need to play with wiring.
I feel like i did a good tidy job with the wiring looks real professional, i'm super happy with it.
So this is the bay finished ready for the subframe to bolt in, which is now 100% as of tonight, bolting will happen tomorrow. I am excited.
So i am on the homestretch

Got a new bike, just finished putting it together. Eastern polycrome frame, fit headset, fatty bars, dk seat and grips, shadow hub and running gear, custom built wheels. I want to respray the frame satin black and get purple accents going.
I also bought some new wheels, won't divulge what they are just yet. They are japanese and 14" that's all your getting.
Also fitted the euro lip i got from Sam, the combination of how ****ed my bumper is and the how rooted the lip is made this the dodgiest of zip tie jobs. I bored a hole in the bumper with a stanley knife to hold the side on and the middle already had holes for zip ties from some road trip i had with Sam.
Till the next time
