i bought just an automotive switch from autobarn and made a spot for it in the spare plastic squares next to the a/c button. you'll need enough wire, a switch, relay, and a fuse.

i got a spare set of smoked fog / indicator lights at mine still in box.

Do a search, its been covered before. All aussie golfs have the wiring loom already up to the round connector at the radiator support. You just need a euro foglight switch inorder to use the stock wiring and to wire it from this connector.

I am about to cross this bridge...
A question, is the stock euro foglight swith in the headlight switch itself (i used to pull it out one notch for front fogs and two notches for back fogs on my Polo) or is it supposed to be where one of the plastic blanks are?
I just did a search but heaps of stuff came up (it could just be me being a bit computer illiterate)
    Help would be appreciated.

Its just a replacement for the standard aussie light switch. Make sure you get one from the UK so its a RHD one other wise it wont fit.
Has the pull out switch to turn on the fogs.

Did mine 6 months ago, you need the harness and relay over-ride wire from this guy:

EuroWires- headlight conversion wiring, relay harnesses, grounding kits for VW - from JH Motors- Performance Wiring Products for Volkswagens

The UK headlight switch from Fleabay or who ever, and follow the instructions on here or from Eurowires. I was surprised how easy it was.
