We didnt get fogs on our cars over here so there wont be a switch.
The switch is usually where your normal headlight switch is.

You can buy new or second hand fogs from the US/UK/Europe and retrofit them (easy as), wire them up (bit trickier) and get a switch from the UK (has to be a RHD drive car to fit) and swap the switches over

Mine came with them standard. You turn the headlights onto full and then pull the knob out towards you.

Do you have extra little pics and light below your headlight knob?
You should have 1 - it is for the rear fog.

    My 96 Mk3 TDI did.

You can get headlight switches that do both front and rear fogs... they will have 2 pics and 2 lights below the knob.

to work you have to pull the knob out after you turn knob to right.
right one click fpor parkers, another right for lights on.
pull out 1 click for front fogs, then pull again for rear fogs - will work on parkers or lights on mode.

You can get them from UK.Euro... I got 2nd hand one from UK on ebay but headlight leveler screen was damaged... so I bought another from TMTuning.com new - ask for RHD version.

For me adding Front Fogs was easy...
Switch was easy plug and play drop in.
Genuine Hella front Fog light harness plugged into front wiring harness above radiator.

    Cheers

I have this switch in my vr. Don't know if it came standard or if it was put in at a later date. Pull the switch out one click for fronts (which I don't have but would like to do at one stage.) and two clicks for the rear. Rear seems to be just on one side? Is that normal?

Rear fog should be on the drivers side only.

But you can modify the passenger side if you have a bulb spot for it - which you should
But you will have to take the Passenger side rear light out and cut a hole for the bulb to fit as it is blanked over.

    This is what I did.
