Flashing cooling system light??

Guys,

My warning light for the cooling stsyem keeps coming on and flashing on my 94 VR6? If i turn the car off, and then back on again, it will stay off. sometimes for good, but most of the time it just comes on. sometimes even when the engine is cold it will come on? The highest i have ever seen the water temp go up to is about 105 degrees, but it always sits just under 95 degrees. I recently flushed the system out, could there be an air lock or something.

It came on in mine when the coolant level was low. The bottle in the engine bay was practically empty.

Clean the coolant level sensor.
