*clutch
*rear struts
*oil filter
*fuel filter
*plugs
*leads
*coolant
*coolant outlet pipe dealey
*offset bush
*leads

did I forget anything?

to be brutaly honest, I had considered a trade on a Nissan Maxima earlier in the day, but I was being silly. That lexus has got me lazy, it's easy to sloth
around in comfortable silence. Alas I've held strong, onwards and upwards!

Sadly, you appear to have omitted the following:

KW Variant 2 coilovers,
A supercharger,
Hella dual round headlights with xenon HID bulbs,
some phat 17s,
and 3 slammin huneys in the back seat.

Excuse my utter stupity, but my engine? 1997 Golf GL 2.0 5Spd manual is an ABF? Apparantley the VW dealer can't tell from the VIN. Regrettably I have to get the coolant outlet and O ring from them, they are not helpful, they are never helpful.

The engine we get for the 2.0L GL is the 2E I believe. The ABF is the 16V 2.0L GTI engine that we wish we had

thanks Ray, your right it's all coming back to me now..the ABF is the motor I want, not the one I have. So can anyone confirm Rays suggestion.. "2E or not 2E that is the question"
