    Audio Vibration and Interior Rattles

So something that's been bugging me for a while is how much the vr6 interior rattles, and more importantly the way you get reverberation/ vibration with HU powered audio.

It bugs me even more that I spent a fair bit on Sound deadening to stop this but it has only really reduced outside sound when you're on the move.

I've deadened all the doors and even put some on the rear boot pillars to try and stop the vibrations but nothing seems to help...

I understand that a 15 year old car is going to rattle, but I feel that with all the effort i've put in, the audio, at least, shouldn't be causing that crappy vibration problem with lower notes.

Like I said, my gear isn't even amplified and I still get vibrations even with the bass turned down! It seems to come from the door cards themselves a fair bit, but also from the back seat itself where I've mounted the slim 8inch fusion sub (Ive got some rubber mat separating the sub from the metal seat frame.

Anyone had any luck with tightening it all up and stopping these issues? Or am I fighting a losing battle?

My rear left door rattles from the speaker (stock) but I think it might be causing the plank of wood I have holding the window up to vibrate.

Do you have a YouTube link to the music you are playing? Might just play it in mine and see if I have the same issue. I'm still running all stock speakers. By the way, you can still get vibration from higher notes if they match the resonant frequency of the material.

My car constantly sounds like it's going to fall apart...

but yeah, stock speakers in both my mk3's and I get a fair bit of rattling when the volume is up. Could be the door cards not being properly secured? that's what it kind of is in mine

I doubt any microphone I have will be good enough to pick up the issue haha. Appreciate your help though. I'm going to try a bit of foam between the door card and the door frame and fix up the stupid way ive wired my speaker system and see if that makes a difference. Might also try fiddling with the way ive mounted the sub.
