Engines out-What else should i do?

    hey guys,
so currently my engine like this...

    it should be out tomorrow,
and ill begin doing the timing chains followed by my new clutch..
i was wondering, cause its been such a **** fight,
what else i should look at doing before it goes back in.
its got 150000km's on it, and personally i never want to pull the thing back out hah
anyways, as always, all advice much appreciated.
    Paul.

    Paul,
It depends on money sometimes-here are some things to check and are easy and cheap. clean the engine bay, check the wire that goes to the starter or just replace all the wires with a new grounding kit(easy to make), replace the crack pipe with a metal one, check all the hoses for cracking and dry rotting, flush and replace the radiator and power steering fluid, put a low thremostat and switch in, replace all vacuum lines with silcone ones or new OEM vac lines, take off the intake manifold and degrease it and clean the throttle body also. make your own catch can set up to avoid a dirty intake manifold and engine, check change plugs(1 step colder),check the motor mounts(replace or upgrade if need),check pollen filter, change diff oil, upgrade or replace all front end bushings if needed, replace serpentine belt,
Thats it off the top of my head. Hope it helps cheers J

    hey guys,
so ive narrowed it down to the things ill look at changing...
    1. crack pipe, which isnt at all leaking, just think its probably a good idea. 'just in case'
    2. silicone hose kit? does anyone know of ones in aus, as im not really looking at having to have the engine out whilst they internationally shipped
    3. new thermostat
    4. Possibly a catch can setup? i thought instead of replacing the pcv hose with a breather i could use that?

ohh and ive degreased the engine, intake manifold and cleaned the throttle body...
