    Make sure you're using genuine VW water coolant.

    Good for a quick burst of cold too - The pipes to the heater core will be holding cold coolant - Turn the heater on and it'll drop the coolant in.

    IMO - No car should ever sit above or below operating temp unless something is wrong or you're in seriously hot conditions.

    Am using genuine VW coolant, the red stuff. Yesterday wasn't that hot, probably only about 25 where I was, it's never done it before or since so it has to be something to do with the slow mountain climb. Think I'll get it checked out at CVWC as soon as I can get it in.
