I use Wynns engine flush on overdue customers vehcles. The amount of sludge build up in later VW and other types is crazy these days.
Over the years I have had no detrimental problems with flushing. Some would be against it but I am not!

Seeing as my car is sorta due for a service soon, I decided to buy some system flushes as an overhaul/clean for the engine to run better. I figured that it probably hasn't had an ENGINE OIL flush before, so I bought some of the Liqui Moly ''engine flush plus'' engine treatment.
Has anyone used this on a VR6 with just less than 200,000km? Some people say it'll be fine, while others wouldn't recommend it. I'm still not 100% sure if I want to use it but the bloke at repco assured me it would be fine. What are your thoughts?

Read the bottle carefully. You are usually supossed to warm up the engine without racing it and drain it all out while its hot.
I buggered up a Mitsubishi Years ago, by putting flush in at Repco then driving home up the mountain. Very tappy smokey motor when I got home!

eep!! Well this one says just to put it in and let the car idle for 15-20 mins then drain and fill new oil. Is it going to be any better doing it if the engine is already hot?

i usually drive get the stuff and the throw it in when i get home, start the car wait til the fans come on turn it off then drain the engine is hot at this stage so either way it doesnt matter just dont do what loon did lol
Lol alright I'll have a crack at it when I have available sump washers and an oil filter.
Does Tim sell washers? Or are they cheap from VW? lol.
