Mate i will send that fuse but the only thing is the mirror dont go through this fuse, fuse 14 which is fed from the ign switch is live with the ign on. The ign switch can be playing havoc mate.

Had a chat with a vw mechanic and he said it might be the 'comfort relay'

He said might need a rebuild or replacing $$

Mate ive been around these too long and never heard of a Comfort relay?????? im looking at the diagram now and there is none - Mirrors and windows are all fed from fuse 14 have you checked if it has power when ign on???????? this is fed from the ign switch mate, if you have no windows check fuse 14 ign feeds the mirrors and the windows that is the staring block mate

Jimmy I'm not doubting you mate, just passing on what I've been told.

I assume your referring to fuse 14 as per the diagram below?



And fyi it has no power when ign is on.

There lyeth the problem mate , yes fuse 14 on the diagram dude an hey im cool just dont want you being led thats all - Anyway all that said an done give this a 12 v feed mate and try your windows.
That fuse gets a 12v when the ign is on and this powers the windows and mirrors.
See how you go but you have lost feed mate - im suspicious about your ign switch. Just out of interest put your ign on and put her into reverse - are the lights on????
Try that - by the way we are getting somewhere now i feel

Guys just want to say Jimmy is a legend, his gone out of his way to help me sort this minor but irritating issue.

He was spot on when he said it was the thermo fuse which is located deep above the fuse Box.
