I have a set in one of my MK3s. They go stupidly low and ride very well.
It depends on what you are after. All the cheap coilover kits have very basic dampers so arent really performance orientated.

So if youre looking to stance a car then id go something like these. If youre after performance id look elsewhere.

If you can afford it, I would highly recommend going for CX racing coils. I had tuning art coils for just over a year and they are pretty much unbearable now. CX's a are an overall better setup, and also has adjustable dampening, but i guess its what you can afford. Some food for thought.

Iv'e been recommended those CX's but this mk3 is just a thrash around daily till my mk2 gets fixed, so im just looking for something thatll let me hit the ground no matter how **** the ride is.

If I can put my two cents in the plate I just got a set of Hottunnings from a fellow dubber here on the forum for $500 delivered to my door and they are good, Get good low with them. I still have to fiddle with the springs to stop the bounce but from what I have now experienced already im very happy with them.

Do you guys find the coilies harden up the suspension or soften it?? I personally find the stock set quite harsh but maybe its just all the potholes in briso at the moment. Every time I hit one I feel like something's going to fall off in the car... haha

Here is a pic of my rears and they still need to be tighten up more when I hit a pothole or even a bump in the road is like I can taste my spine! My car is going in for wheel allignment on Saturday and I'm tightening up the bottom springs, that should fix the bouncing.
