With the Adjustable fuel pressure regulator what did you set it to? I know the factory sets it at 3.0 bar, and you can get fixed raided FPR's at anywhere between 3.5 bar and 5.0 bar of pressure.

Dont forget the ecu runs some logic about how you drive. If its a city car with a fair bit of stop start it will have been optimised for that. If you want to achieve peak figures you'll need to put some high rpm ks on. Not just a run to the mountains and back. It seems to work out its averages over an extended cycle of hundreds of kilometers.
thats why my vr6 goes so well, hundreds of kms at high rpm ;) not stuck in the city doing little 5kms trips everyday wearing the car out lol.

ya i dont think i'll be messin with the FPR as i feel like stabbing myself in the eye everytime i have the urge to look at the current trips L/100km figure, that these cars so convieniently have.
in a way i wish i didnt live so close to work. its only like 10 minutes frive through neighbourhoods so the engine barely has time to heat up before i get to work. bring on the high fuel consumption and engine wear wohoo!
i'd rather have to wake up half an hour earlier and drive in a straight line at 100kph, than do the 10 minutes of stop start crap i do now. maybe i should move to healsville or something lol
my obsession is looking at the oil temp so I can establish a healthy range to take the revs a little higher hehe :).. speaking of which when i sit on the 110km/hr highways my oil temp is in the high 90s or may even reaching low 100's (whilst on an 80km/hr road it sticks around the 90 mark); do most of you guy's have these figures?Quote:

120's lol thats pretty high , ive only ever seen 110 on mine and that was giving it everything for about 20mins. i think the oil would have started to break down at that sort of temp if you where using a mineral based oil. maybe a syn can handle that ?
your oil temp will have a lot to do with your water temp as it has a oil cooler or warmer in some cases. if you run distilled water and g12 ive seen a drop of nearly 10degress in water temp which can make a 10degress in oil temp change. ( up to a point)
only 110? u arent driving hard enough! Should be making it into the teens at least with a good flog.
haha cant go much harder than flat out. i have tried many times to get the pedal to go through the floor but it never happens.
