Can I ask why you want launch control on a stock gl?
I know hey! Tell me about it haha.

That's what I'm planning on doing, doing a whole bunch of DIY. Engine mounts are needed asap as they're so bad lol.

And reason why the launch control is wanted.. BECAUSE RACECAR! But seriously, I'm going to be doing some engine work soon and will be hitting the drag strip soon enough, and it's pretty cool to just mang on the streets ahaha! :p

    Hey all,

Been a while since I've updated my thread. Quite a few changes since I last updated this post hahaha!

Black wheels, tinted tailights, replaced the headliner with black suede and a new cat back exhaust system with the tip I originally had. Due for a full service this weekend. I've also got some hard engine mounts for it to install this week. Guards rolled and that's about it. I'm currently searching for a MK3 front bar with foglights and a wiring loom for it. If anyone knows someone with one or if you yourself have one for sale, please let me know. Or if you have a Vento lip, the really deep one, that would be the bee's knees hahaha. anyway, photo time!!

    Looking neat man!

The deep lips are GTI lips, can get them off eBay and lurk on eBay UK for the wiring loom and jazz for the fog lights

    Thanks man.

I'll have a look around tonight once I'm back from the Mechanics. And Jazz? What's that? Haha. Been a long day!

So here's a little update. Managed to have more problems with my car!!

I was driving it on my way home from work and the rear wheel bearings disintegrated! Forced me to pull over and call a tow truck lol. Because of the shift in the hubs the caliper was riding on the rotors and grinded rings around the rotors. So I ordered new rotors, rear pads, front pads and two rear bearing kits from Volkswagen for $435 from my friend who's a parts advisor for Volkswagen Five dock. So my car is back on the road on Saturday! Been 5 weeks since the 'BRAKE'down hahahahaha. But seriously, looking forward to getting my girl back.

Also a friend from these forums has gotten me some fog lights which I'm picking up this weekend!

Now, coilovers. I'm trying to find the cheapest coilovers I can get. If anyone has a link to buy the cheapest coilovers that would be splendid. I've been searching to find the best deal on the Internet and so far I haven't gotten near my budget of $300 delivered! D:

    Thanks for reading

Must have been unsettling to have that happen suddenly!
I have brand new rear rotors just lying around...that I didn't end up needing yet.

JOM Blueline for $330 delivered if that's close enough.

    Thanks for the link !

Yeah it was definitely an interesting turn of events lol. Sounded like a train braking when I was driving

Felt like the car had 4 wheel steering with no control on the back wheels lol. So now I've got all the bits and she should be back on the road by Sunday!

She's been off the road for 4 weeks and looks shocking. Paint is filthy. It's been raining on and off here so the car has been wrecked by the rain lol. I think she's due for a detail when I get her back up and running

I have a question about the fog lights. What's the best way to wire them up? Reusing the existing rear fog light switch? What kind of wire should I use?

I'll order the coil overs tonight LOWWWWWW

Best way is to get a Headlight switch that has front fogs and the foglight wiring loom. Or you can figure out what wire is for the rear fog light and probably splice into it.
