    me too!

    yeah whole 02j assembly.
bit awkward to install, be easier with two people on the tools.
yeah completely different feel, mk3 feels terrible compared to mk4.

Oh sweet! yeah the MK3 feels like a bit of a dogs breakfast. Its not smooth at all and it's hard to get into 5th. Sometimes when I think im in fifth, it will slot into third...

How long would you say the swap will take and whats the degree of difficulty? And where did you pick up the parts from? It's from a V5 bora?

    Got mine from a late mk4 I think 2l.
Exhaust and heat shields off. centre console out. Bit of custom drilling and bolts pending which way you go.
Electrics need to be changed. Tower at the box can be a bit fiddley

I need to take mine apart and add some more insulation as it's fairly noisey in the car

02a can be made better cheaply. 42DD sell solid mounts for the shifter tower on gearbox and there is solid mounts available for the bracket on the gearbox too.

Combined with a b&m shifter it is tight, positive engagement and still requires less muscle than 02j dieselgeek option.

    Get this going dyl!

Stop sneaking Mk4 bits into the Mk3. You don't see the early aircoolers cutting out the oval windows in bugs to install the bigger 70s ones for better visibility.

    hahah
mk4 shifter, mk4 box, mk4/6n headunit, R32 bushes, passat carriers, mk4 rear calipers, a4 lines, rado brace, different gen/model seats, lexus lights, few 3.5 parts
think that'll be the extent of it

originally went mk4 shifter to give the short shifter options like the dieselgeek, but I dont mind the mk4 one as standard.
    might shorten it one day.

Didn't know you did this! Keen to do the same when I do the swap, and I have the Dieselgeek too.

Chopped O2j with dieselgeek in a mk3 was a bit ridiculous. Mine was very tight and notchy.
