One for mk3 aaa, seats cut and cleaned up, 60deg cut also done.
Tomorrow will do a 20deg (think that's what it was) and reassemble

Looking for a heater core and coolant expansion bottle new locally, got a decent price on the heater core but was quoted $120 for the bottle!! bit rich considering ecs price (heater core was same price as ecs), anyone have any suggests? Otherwise I'll just get one next ecs order

30 deg cut done, valves lapped in. Just need to give it a clean out and reassemble now.
Thanks to Golfman for the help and lessons!

You shaved your mk3 indicators, that's cute.

Didnt do any port work. just cleaning, deck, new guides and seals, multi angle valve job.
Cleaned out the block manually with lots of poking, pulling, flushing, magnetic tools.

Motor is in, think everything is working... Both batteries are toast though so will try out the bora one tomortow before fitting the remaining pieces (hoses, radiator, panels, lights, a/c, power steering, dash and so on)

It lives! Few major setbacks over the past week, but with some creativity it's running.
Big thanks to Stu, woody, Matt, Ryan, and sneaky Pete.
Thanks to Tim at dub addiction for going out of his way to get me parts
Chris at volkwerke for the assistance Wednesday arvo.

Trying to upload vid as we speak.
Will update with pictures and details later. Basically have a busy week at work and trying to tidy the bora for vits.
