    Dual beam parkers

    Hey gang,

Got some Phillips blue vision low beams and some plus 50 high beams for my dual beam head lights.

Just woundering if anyone has replaced their parkers? As I still have the original parker globes which give a really yellow povo looking light.

So what parker globes are people running in their Mk3 dual beam headlights?

    Cheers James

Actually I think i have some old "cool blue" wedge style parkers kicking about somewhere. If i find them you can have em. From memory they were a little whiter than the stock yellow ones. Still not perfectly white though.

Think you need to go LED to make them match the whiter style headlights? mine are the same, look very yellow against the headlights

I replaced mine with the brighter white/blue phillips lights, but then I put them in the number plate light holders because they were ugly lol. Now I've got orange parkers!

So peopel are saying with the factory Mk3 dual beam headlights use LED globes for the parkers to produce a whiter light?

BTW what globes do you run in your interior light Mickey?

I used what Mickey used before (the "blue" Phillips ones) and I really liked them. They came out white-ish and filled out the whole reflector. I'm currently using the "standard" ones which are a bit too yellow for my liking. As for LEDs, I'd suggest not to get them if they're the single point ones. The ones that branch out the light all around them are better I reckon.

So you got a Phillips parker globe?

The parkers that come with the phillips low beams dont fit.

It's weird, I've used two different sets of dual-beam stock headlights and both had different parker bulb sockets. One was wedge style, the other was round, with the single contact thing on the bottom.

Ditto. They can look cool but they produce absolutely no filling light whatsoever so it's just a dot lol.

My interior light is a three-LED light I got from Jaycar for $15.
