This is something Ive been wanting to do for a while now aswell. Ive done the lower pocket trim already, but the centre parts (either fabric or leather) looks to be a pain in teh bum.

I used faux suade, aka microfibre suade, in black and came out nicely.

    i like this alot.

the door cards i mean. the seats are just a bit too much.
would like just the door cards and perhaps the drivers airbag and something on the passenger side.

    Woah!
I love the colours and scheme of the interior, but far out that's a lot of money...I'd rather pay a grandmother to sew it all up and I'll fit it hahaha.

Considering that leather and high quality seat fabrics start at about $50, your looking for a really significant investment just on material. Theres a reason why it costs $2500 for an interior re trimmed in leather.

I reckon one spare door card to practise on is enough to give you confidence for doing it on your own set From what I've read, it's a **** of a job, so definitely get a spare one to practise on!

As for the condition of spare door cards, I reckon most will definitely have one or two broken clips, slight scratches here and there, especially on the handle where the power window buttons are. Speaker holes may be butchered to death if aftermarket speakers were fitted. Look for broken bits too especially around the edges near the clips. I know cos I've broken bits of mine out of frustration I guess they're all pretty obvious!
