Next get some kind of sander or grinder, with some reletively rough sand paper, (100-120 maybe?) and sand back all the rough parts. You'll end up with what kind of looks like a shaved bumper
Now we have the bondo part. i used selleys plastic bond. $10 a tube from supercheap...i would recommend buying 3.
For those who havn't done anything like this before, i would strongly suggest looking on the net for some tutorials. But basically you want to apply lots of smooth layers, filling in the gaps and forming a smooth continuous edge. I also used this to build up the bottom edge of the numberplate recess cut out.
After a few goes at applying and shanding you'll end up with this
There is your shaved bumper. Im currently waiting for a nother mk3 to finish shaving his bumper **hint hint hurry up** so that we can paint together... but ill finish off the DIY with what i did for painting the bumper next week or so.
