    Agree with you, it does look nice, clean and subtle.
    The hatch would need a popper to make it open, and lots of little jobs to do to make a good job of it. Steel needs to go in the VW badge hole.

    Lighting? just use some bright LEDS so the plate is visable. The 3 holes in the glass that the wing is bolted on with can be filled with silicon or plugs....

    On the todo list for sure

    I did that on mine before, using the fishing line and some lub(CRC, WD40 etc.)
    Easy job taking it off, but gettin out the harden tape is the worst
