I've had this for over a week now, I think its about time to actually show the pictures. They're not the best mind you but it is high noon atm, I'll take some later at around 3.

The headliner has been re trimmed in seat/doorcard quality fabric and all the upper trim including handles and even the dome light has bee dyed black to match the interior. I am so happy with it, amazing attention to detail done by a really cool guy. All up it cost me $300, and considering the amount of time that has gone into it I must say its more than worth it. I'll put Adel's details in recommended suppliers section now

    Wow, that's clean!

My MK3 has the sunroof and it looks like the headlining isn't the solid card type, but the fabric...which is sagging at the moment.

I wonder if this could be treated the same way as yours?

Branko that looks a treat mate, I'm glad it turned out well for you

Do you think it would cost me much to get re-upholstered fabric for seats and door inserts like Lachie did? (not the speaker part though)

Its not cheap as it is a fair bit of labour taking apart the door, putting it back together again. Not to mention the cost of materials and getting the actual shape perfectly aligned and made. I was quoted $350 for it, and considering it took pretty much a whole day in the DIY I can understand why. It would work out cheaper if you just took the pieces off and told them what to upholster, I'd imagine you would save quite a bit. I wanted to do the headliner myself, but after the offer I was given for all that work and then the trim paint it was stupid to pass up.

Have a go at taking it apart first and then see if you can do it yourself, otherwise I'd just pay someone to do it tbh...

Yeah I was thinking of handing them things to be upholstered then piecing it all back together.

    Seats though...

Seats just plainly aren't a cheap job in general, consider the amount of material a seat needs, plus you need that to be cut, fitted and everything else. I can get a quote for you if you like on a job for your seats.

What redo the whole seat, and then do the centers in a different material, we're talking all 4 seats here right as well?
