    CV/Driveshaft Help Required

    Hey Guys,

Changing my CV boot on the drivers side and I've got a quick question.

Is there any way to remove the driveshaft end from the CV on the hub without removing the whole shaft from the hub?

My idea was to just remove the shaft from the CV, slip on the boot and reconnect.

    Any help would be great.

    Cheers

Usually have to press them off.

Much easier to do out of the car. You'll need an M8 multi-pline/triple square socket to undo the bolts at the gearbox end.

Dammit, I was hoping I wouldn't have to remove the shaft from the car.

I might just get the local garage to replace the shaft :/
