    CV/Driveshaft Boot Replacement

    Hey Guys!

Attempting to replace my driveshaft boot on the VR within the next couple of weeks so I was searching for a kit.

I stumbled across a kit from HippoRed which is basically the rubber boot which comes split open with a built in channel for glue.

The idea is to cut out your old one, wrap the new one around and glue it together and then shimmy up until it's in place and secure using clips. Apparently takes 15mins vs the 2 hours + it usually take.

Has anyone used one of these kits before?

Also if anyone knows the standard diameter of a MK3 boot that would be great.

    I think it's an 80mm but not 100% sure.

    Cheers

You'd be better off replacing the complete shaft with a refurbished unit.
